BIM’s annual National Seafood Survey, collecting data for 2024, runs October 2025 to January 2026 and can be completed on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Completing the survey is a legal requirement and a condition of grants you may apply for in the next 12 months.

The findings of the survey provide key data and insights into the status of Ireland’s fishing sector on an annual basis. The returns form the basis for the justification of national and EU grant aid programmes, focused on supporting the industry and coastal communities. View the findings of last year’s surveys.

The data you submit is anonymised, grouped into fleet segments, and submitted to the EU in accordance with EU Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2021/1167. No individual vessels/entity/person can be identified from the data submitted.
