Inshore Fisheries Conservation Scheme – V-notching

This scheme supports the conservation of lobster through v-notching. Only those groups or individuals who wish to receive payments directly from BIM need to apply. If you wish to have payments made via your cooperative, they can supply you with an authorisation form for your signature.

1.4 Fostering efficient fisheries control and enforcement, including fighting against IUU fishing, as well as reliable data for knowledge – based decision-making.
1.6 Contributing to the protection and restoration of aquatic biodiversity and ecosystems.

The support rate under this scheme is 100% for Small Scale Coastal Fishing (SSCF) vessels, and 50% for other vessels.
